TEST PREP: ACT & PLAN

act-plan-img

For students to improve their scores on the ACT, they must do three things:

  1. Hone their critical reasoning skills.
  2. Master the math and grammar concepts that are covered on the test.
  3. Increase their speed and endurance.

Unlike the SAT, which is more like an obstacle course, the ACT can be likened to an endurance race that’s run on a flat track. While it may not be as tricky as the SAT to negotiate, it does require greater stamina and pace. At Brownstone Tutors, our ACT prep program focuses on techniques and exercises designed to help students move more quickly and efficiently through the four different sections of the test.

While the general approach to ACT prep is the same for every student, we believe very strongly, as with everything we do, that in order to maximize performance it is necessary to tailor the prep process to the individual student and develop an approach that suits him or her best.
